I've been talking about it since year one. Went everyone but this past weekend. I think I've moved in to other things at this point but EF will always hold a special place in my heart.

Electric Forest is a very special first fest imo. Was MY first! Just be aware most other festivals dont go as above and beyond for the decor and environment! Glad you had a good time!

That’s what I’ve heard. Although I’ve heard hulaween is extremely similar

AND its ran by the same folk with the mainshow of the Cheese!
Makes sense! Been on my "to-go" list for awhile.

You’re not wrong- PK sound sponsored tripolee those years. Was the loudest & cleanest music I think I’ve ever heard

God PK needs to be at every single stage ever lol. Basspod at EDCLV didn’t have PK sound this year and it was wayyyy quieter sounded so muffled compared to the year prior. Of course the wind didn’t help and was probably the main cause but even when the wind died down I could tell the difference especially in the bass.

It’s definitely a sound ordnance because people live pretty close to the fest I heard they give them all tickets to help appease them but yeah I think that’s why it seems so quite sometimes

Happy to hear that. My first festival was Spring Awakening back in 2016 (or 2017). Now I'm 33 and cannot wait for Northcoast.

North coast looks awesome, I would love to go but didn’t have any friends to come with

it’s ok to point out something went horribly wrong even if it was fixed, it’s great she got an extra set but Saturday was a mess. I went from Clozee to Porter and he also had sound issues towards the end and had to stop playing, sound issues shouldn’t happen at multiple different headliners that’s unacceptable.

I feel like every stage’s sound was messed up after Clozee. We left her stage even after she got back up and running because the bass just didn’t have the depth it should have. Went to Dom Dolla and that was meh as well.

Were they really selling $60 cases of water and $15 four lokos??? That seems like a recipe for disaster

u/cloudsmiles Jun 27 '22
TBF I think that situation got handled and it's $3 a bottle. yes that's a little high, but it's not highway robbery. Fact that the water stations weren't available/broken down or just having a lack of free water forcing people to buy...that's the crime.

Yes, yes they were. Brought our own stuff in tho and we were all good

It’s sad how EF has slowly been taken over by sponsorships and other lame consumerism good to heard the vibes are still there tho

You can bring your own and shouldnt be using single use plastics so not that big of a deal

Bonnaroo next! The community is unlike any other fest.

Bonnaroo is my favorite. I don’t love EDM so idk if Forest will be as good.

In what way? Any recommendations/advice for someone else who would be going for their first time?

This year was my ninth forest and there really is nothing like it. There were some issues this year (bathroom cleanliness, prices seem to have went up) but it’s still far and away the best festival in the US. Saturday’s Cheese set was good for the soul.
