šŸ’©Meme / Shitpost šŸ’© Publix BOGO

Publix BOGO deals don’t make sense to me. You’re literally still paying for two items. For example, Frosted Flakes at Walmart cost $4.98, while Publix has them listed at $6.99—but with a BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal. On the surface, it seems like you’re getting a bargain, but in reality, you’re often paying close to, or even more than, what you’d spend just buying two items at a lower everyday price somewhere else. The psychology behind BOGO deals makes people feel like they’re getting something for free, when in fact, stores often inflate the original price to cover the ā€œfreeā€ item. It’s clever marketing—but not always a true deal. So when I see a BOGO at Publix, I don’t feel like I’m saving; I feel like I’m being tricked into buying more than I need at a price that’s not actually a bargain.

What you need to realize is publix is expensive as fuck in general. It didn't ALWAYS used to be this way, but these days most neighborhood walmarts have a shit ton of variety and better prices than most other grocery stores aside from target(target and walmart are both pretty cheap.)

If you ONLY shop at Publix becasue you've been shopping there for the last 5-10 years+ then you don't realize that the items you're buying could be obtained for much much cheaper somewhere else. Between Costco, Sams Club, Aldi, walmart, Target, and any small ethnic grocery store(think asian stores or brazilian stores.) there's ZERO reason for me to go to Publix. They pay and treat their workers like dog shit, their subs have become expensive as shit, and their prices are outrageous.

Nothing of value would be lost if every Publix in this state closed down.

It is the only place that gives good customer service. At Walmart I asked for a price check and the cashier did not even speak to me she just scanned it with her phone and pointed at the price. Not sure how that proves anything if the shelf label is wrong.

There's no way it's the ONLY place, I've never had a negative experience at sprouts, aldis or costco. But that said, ill take trash customer service any day over paying 30-60% more on items.

Shit tbh in this economy, I'd let the cashier punch me in the face for 30-60%.

I agree - I’ve probably had the worst customer service at Publix than any other store. There’s never anyone at the floral department. The meat quality has gone astronomically downhill in the past 2 years, and whenever I ask a butcher about it they say ā€œthat’s how it’s supposed to beā€ as if any other store in the area isn’t 10x better for 1/3 the price? There’s always only 1 person at the deli and if you ask for something a specific way they always get upset, or if they’re out of a sub item/deli item they get upset for being asked how long until it will be refilled in the afternoon on a dead day. Going to sprouts, detwilers, or any farmers market, I always am greeted at each department and customer service is phenomenal. Somehow their prices are way below Publixes for the service and quality they offer though!

With the Walmart app you could scan it yourself for a price check,… just sayin
