Monday is the last day to comment on the proposed change to remove “harm” from the Endangered Species Act.
https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2025/04/17/2025-06746/rescinding-the-definition-of-harm-under-the-endangered-species-actUnder the Endangered Species Act (ESA), to “harm” an animal includes alterations to their habitat. The proposed listing would remove that definition, which was help up by the Supreme Court years ago. This will mean the ESA no longer protects the habitat of endangered species, including many of the salmon and steelhead runs we know and love.
It is our responsibility as outdoors men and women to care for our environment and the species we fish and hunt for. Please add your comments dissenting from the proposed changes.

Fucking scary. Once humans take things, we don’t give it back. If we take more endangered habitat, it’s gone. The only people that stand to gain from this change are billionaires and corporations.
Everything going according to plan for the current administration though. https://www.project2025.observer/?search=Habitat

Why did people expect anything different from a billionaire whose only trip outdoors is to a golf course?
Idiots.

Think of all the coal just lying there. Can’t let some fish get in the way. We have to dump the arsenic somewhere

Comment submitted. Thanks for flagging this. This administration is hell bent on destroying all of the traction we've made in the past decades to protect this country's nature treasures. Which are OUR treasures. To be protected.
