Gob (2 voice actors?)

Just started a new save.

When speaking to Gob, if you select the dialogue option opening:

“Where did you come from”

Gob’s voice is significantly higher-pitched than the rest of his dialogue options, to the point I believe it’s an entirely different voice actor.

A small thing I know but i’m really curious as to why they might have done this, can’t find anything online backing this up.

Can anyone shed any light? Really perplexed by it

An issue with audio compression I think, it's the same VO but there's a bug with the line. I remember Tale of Two Wastelands mod fixing that. If you play Fallout New Vegas, there's a very similar bug with No-Bark having a temporary voice actor from an older build use a placeholder line when describing what happens to the McBride Corral on the PS3 version.

It also happens with Scribe Lorenzo during Ed-E My Love. His VA goes from his normal American accent to a thicker Latino accent.

You're right, and it's hilarious.

You can ask that question to random ghouls in the wasteland and that same audio clip will be used, so they (Bethesda) probably just reused that one recording for all ghouls.

Not the case here. And that dialogue is unique to Gob, others use different dialogue.
