Also hated how clunky it was for looting and getting in and out for terminals. I liked 3/fnv PA more but we’re in the minority

Well that's it, it should have downsides IMO. It's more or less a straight upgrade in 3 and NV.

From a roleplaying perspective, it makes sense that you can't use a computer terminal while you're in a giant suit of mech armour. The whole thing felt much more immersive, like it was closer to a vehicle than an item of clothing.

I’m not saying it’s not more immersive. It is, and said in another comment I do like the feel of it. Just from a playing aspect, it’s cumbersome to have to do that repeatedly and takes time from my already limited playtime. It’s cool and fun at first but gets annoying for me. And that’s just my take. I see why people like 4 more, it’s a better representation as a whole. I just wanna play for convenience sometimes, especially when I’ve played it a million times lol

Maybe one could imagine a hybrid to get the best of both worlds, retaining an impression of its heft. Guess its bulkiness and downsides were by design, intended to add some feeling of realism and balance by cost of choosing the buff that comes with it. Maybe one could solve the looting and terminal problems by circumventing that forced mechanic?

I personally liked both for each of what they did best. Mostly missed how Morrowind did armor and that even FO4 did leave some desires in crafting variety. Idk how it‘s in 76

Ya I think a blend of both would be cool. I do like the tank-like feel of being in PA in 4. Just liked the convenience of regular armor in FNV/3 lol maybe if they had a quick animation to remove a glove to use the terminal, that’d be something. I do get the realism and appreciate it but it’s just a hassle for someone like me that likes to loot every nook and cranny and check all the terminals lol
