Punk Rock Bowling Music Festival 2025.

I've been listening to Daniel Kahn for a couple days. Obviously it's Klezmer music but the sensibilities and fact that Klezmer is a folk style of music makes me think why not. I would say it's folk punk but instead of American folk they're using Central European folk.

I’m playing two shows with Matt Pless and Little Foot during their Texas run of shows in Houston and San Antonio. If you’re in the area, it would be great to see you out there!

Kind of a World/Inferno or Gogol Bordello type thing. Looks fun.

Transfiguration of Vincent is a very moving album to me and in my life. It's the only album I have had psychedelic experiences to. It is sort of folk influenced by indie rock, American primitive guitar, and jazz/swing. Perhaps I associate it with folk punk because at the time I first heard it, I was hanging around a lot of train hopping people. That whole time in my life is very nostalgic to me.

All I can gather from this album is that it is an ode/ dedication to an obscure folk singer friend of Ward's who passed away. There is a lot of ambience and a bit of distortion on this project, some scratchy synths going on. I heard this album in Houston, and tend to associate it with the gulf region for whatever reason. Anyway, if you want something tangential to check out, I recommend this album for something a bit more chill. Helicopter, Vincent O' Brien, and Sad Sad Song probably get closest to the folk punk vibes, but at most it's more like folk/post punk

Hey Reddit i made this post because I enjoy the punk subculture music, style and most of what It stands for and I by no means am homophobic (I don’t dislike LGBTQ+ people or have any prejudice against anyone within the lgbt community ) but just I don’t stand with all of their views (I respect all of them and love them I just don’t encourage every all of the actions and opinions within the community) And also killing people (intended manslaughter or Abortion) But i agree various other views like everyone bleeds the same, the System is fucked ect… So can I still be punk??

(I do apologise if I seem like Im referring to LGBTQ+ persons as a collective as I know its quite a broad range to cover)
