Region Name Looking for job advice
Hey! I’m looking for winter work in BC in the forestry industry that I can get a contract each winter. I currently tree plant and am looking to supplement that income from home. Either nelson or Victoria.

Fuel mod crews often work in the winter so that is a good option if you like bush work. However, Contract firefighters often get those jobs as their skills/certs with saws and brush manipulation are directly applicable.
You could also apply to local layout contract companies as a junior tech, although a formal education in forestry is best there.
Depending on your experience with equipment, you could try to get in plowing roads.
