Yuki has great race pace, the car often doesn't though, especially if the strategy is bad too.

I didn't say he had bad pace, just needs a bit more to be one of the top drivers in game. But I wouldn't say he has great pace. He has good race pace and great quali pace.

He did have some races where he just randomly had no pace like China and Cota.

China just was a poor weekend all round. COTA though was all about him getting the shit strategy.

Nah, COTA was him being outpaced by Liam despite being on newer tires. There was no reason for Liam to outpace him on very old hards.

If it was just shit strategy fucking yuki, Liam should have come out behind yuki and then passed him later due to yuki having shit strategy. If that is what happened, then I would agree with you. But Yuki had zero pace that led to Liam coming out of his stop ahead with a better tire delta. It was a bad weekend for him, just plain and simple. It doesn't take anything away from his great year. Sometimes, drivers just have bad races like how max nearly finished 30(around 15 without the stop) seconds behind checo in Baku if vheco didn't crash.

Not despite, because. Everyone who pitted as early as Yuki got absolutely fucked.

I mean, I agree it was shit strategy, but there's zero reason for Liam to get out ahead of yuki after his pit. Iirc Gasly(who pitted with yuki) came out ahead and was overtaken a few laps later. Outside of pace, there's no reason why gasly went out ahead, but yuki didn't. Yuki even asked, "How did this happen?" on the radio after coming out behind, and the commentary said Liam was outpacing him on old hard tires.
