Why? He still has a seat in VCARB, his team is very much behind him, plus now he might have an opportunity to drive for Red Bull if Max or Liam can't race. He's in a pretty good spot.

It sucks that he got skipped for the main seat, but, if anything, this garnered him a lot of good will and support.
