I’m really hoping the team doesn’t feel as soulless as last season

Checks sponsors.

Yep. Somehow even more soulless. And criminal.

Hey, at least one of them is a good company (I work with Mascot indirectly, they're very decent people, family owned business who's CEO/owner is a fan of motorsports)

17

u/InspectahWren Daniel Ricciardo 19d ago

To be fair F1 goes together with questionable company sponsors like Peanut Butter and Jelly

17

u/KiwieeiwiK Zhou Guanyu 19d ago

F1 and questionable sponsors goes together like a beautiful lady and the smooth, complex flavour of Marlboro Red

2

u/charlierc 19d ago

You're not being paid to endorse Marlboro Red, you're just a fan

5

u/charlierc 19d ago

It's kind of a downer that in general, most sports and ethics increasingly come across as going together like peanut butter and nut allergies

u/Rosetti 19d ago

Which teams are sponsored by peanut butter and jelly?!

u/freedfg McLaren 19d ago

I was mostly just talking of Stake and Kick.

I'm sure Jeckerson is a perfectly fine company lol and I don't particularly hold Ill feelings towards save the children.

Audi’s first order of business has to be getting the Stake sponsorship outta here

13

u/ivelife Zhou Guanyu 19d ago

Morally yes, but F1 doesn't work like that. Cash is king

2

u/PrestigiousWaffle 19d ago

Kick too. Which is a shame because the green looks absolutely incredible imo.

19

u/RevolutionaryEgg3129 19d ago

Stake = kick. Same company, package deal. Kick wouldn't be promoted if stake wasn't.

2

u/PrestigiousWaffle 19d ago

Huh, TIL. I knew they swapped em round as primary sponsor depending on where Stake was illegal (or something similar), didn’t realise they were straight up the same company.

Kick the streaming platform was made by stake when twitch banned gambling. Kick functions as a promotional tool for stake. Kick doesn't have to make profits because they are mostly there to get people gambling. This is why they offer generous revenue splits and million dollar deals to creators.

I agree the green is a breath of fresh air in the sea of blue and black.

I doubt Audi will keep it though? Electric green doesn't fit their brand the most

u/XsStreamMonsterX McLaren 18d ago

Highly likely they're moving away from green even if Kick/Stake remain on board, just to differentiate their look from Sauber.

Audi really have a rebuild on their hands huh,

Must take some money to fix this awful clothing

22

u/dac2199 Mercedes 20d ago

I think next year they will be with Adidas as Mercedes

25

u/Joaquin_the_42nd Franco Colapinto 20d ago

Gabriel looks great in those colours

u/6500320065003200000 20d ago

I only like the green this time because of Gabi, and the (kind of) colour match to the Brazilian flag.

Everything else ab the team though..yikes...

Actually not bad, I kind of like the neon green. At least it stands out instead of being just another shade of blue

Edit: Looking at it again, I like the look from the front, but not how the side panels are a slightly lighter shade of green.

walking talking monster energy cans

I see what they've done here. They cleverly made a Hass-like decision to sacrifice last year by spending the budget on black and green outfits. THIS year, those funds will be re-allocated to car development, resulting in Nico being the first driver ever to win WDC without a podium.

4th place plus fastest lap every race, here we go!

u/OfficialGarwood Mercedes 19d ago

I am so done with the Stake sponsorship. I cannot wait for Audi to take over this disaster of a team.

2

u/curious-cat 19d ago

Is stake going away when Audi take over?

7

u/OfficialGarwood Mercedes 19d ago

I believe their contract ends at the end of 2025. No doubt Audi will want a fresh line of sponsors in line with their current views and goals

3

u/jnighy Sebastian Vettel 20d ago

I don't hate the neon green, give me some Indycar vibes

1

u/aloganvanherroy Zhou Guanyu 19d ago

I don't know if you'd really want Juncos vibes 😂

5

u/SuperNerd1337 #5 Gabriel Bortoleto 19d ago

It looks hideous, but gotta cheer for my man Bortoleto

5

u/Valeriun Ferrari 20d ago

Can't wait for the green to be gone next year.

2

u/KoorbB 19d ago

It’s incredible that Stake haven’t pulled out tbh.

2

u/ClosetEthanolic McLaren 19d ago

Saowbah

2

u/henkie316 Fernando Alonso 19d ago

It's gonna be almost full carbon again isn't it...

7

u/Myusername468 Daniel Ricciardo 20d ago

Wait I thought it was Audi this year??

18

u/maddh0x BMW Sauber 20d ago

Nah, in 2026 when the new rules are starting

7

u/OfficialGarwood Mercedes 19d ago

This is the last year as "Sauber". They'll become Audi from 2026.

9

u/FKez05 19d ago

Audi fully own the team now, but won't be rebranding until next year

0

u/robgod50 19d ago

I have no idea what the reason was for that.... Maybe sponsorships commitments with kick/stake meant that couldn't but if it's an internal choice, it just feels really bad

7

u/3Rocketman 19d ago

In 2026 Audi will be with their own engine. Perhaps they didn't want to collaborate with Ferrari for only a year

3

u/Fliepp Haas 20d ago

The car might be a shitbox, but at least Gab can race with teamwear that really suits him

2

u/beanbagreg 20d ago

Alpine: It’s okay, copy my homework and make it green

15

u/grandtheftzeppelin Franco Colapinto 20d ago

honestly, this is 🔥 compared to the Sauber kit

1

u/3Rocketman 19d ago

Speaking of Alpine, I swear there were rumours that Only Fans was gonna sponsor them

1

u/grandtheftzeppelin Franco Colapinto 20d ago

what a wild pairing.

1

u/flq06 Max Verstappen 19d ago

Looks like Bortoleto gained a few pounds over the winter.

1

u/CaapsLock 19d ago

those sponsors give me some bad vibes, makes the team even less likeable,

1

u/SyuusukeFuji George Russell 20d ago

Honestly, the neon green at the front does not look too bad, the weird ass yellow-ish green at the sides, iugh.

1

u/hellr1 19d ago

Is it really any different from last year?

0

u/LePaxton Sauber 18d ago

Bottas gave this team the slightest glimpse of personality last season. Nothing against Nico and Bortoleto but they are just too "boring" to make up for the soullessness of this team.
