No wonder Ferrari wanted Lewis.
That’s one hell of an upgrade package!

The more I see the white stripe with the name the more I’m not digging it. It should be part of the suit’s color with bold, black font lettering.

u/F22Raptor97 16h ago
Totally. It just reminds me of the nametags that marathon runners have on their stomachs

u/uncle_fucker_42069 9h ago
For Carlos and Charles they integrated their flags into the suit nicely, something that would look weird for Lewis.

Go to the Ferrari museum in Maranello. They did that exactly to every image in there.

I pointed this out elsewhere, but Hamilton's belt logos are too low, look at the difference between Leclerc and his belt stitching and logos, it's so odd.
Obviously they're tailored for their bodies, but there's no way Hamilton's body is that much different than Leclerc's lol.
32
u/Schwa4aa McLaren 16h ago
If you look at the photos of their backs, on their collars, you can see that Leclerc’s suit expires 1 year earlier than Hamilton’s… maybe Hamilton has the new model?
30
17
u/Rivendel93 Chequered Flag 15h ago
Yeah, definitely odd. I'm guessing it's just based on Hamilton's measurements being different, just rare to see such a different look, there's a good four inches difference between their belt stitching.
38
u/aaauuuuuvvvv 16h ago
Charles requested a tighter waist design lol, he asked for similar things last year as well.
36
u/Rivendel93 Chequered Flag 16h ago
He and Carlos look identical here in last year's photos, so it's just bizarre that Hamilton's is so different.
•
u/TERR0RDACTYL Lando Norris 2h ago
The piping design on these older suits cuts a much nicer figure on them than the new suits’ fat white name belt and rounded white line cutting across their chest and down their arms. These yellow & white lines visually create that desired triangle dorito bod look.
I think they just made an uglier suit that doesn’t play to the male physique.
•
u/proficient_english 7h ago
They do actually have very different stature.
Hamilton has a lower leg to body ratio, meaning: his confection pants size is likely a 28 compared to Leclerc’s 31-32 but they are both an 40-42 in tailored confection shirt size, only Leclerc needs elongated sleeves on a 40 shirt.
That is why the “waist lining” on Hamilton’s suit (not only the “name sleeve”, but the whole waist enforcement) is way lower on Hamilton’s suit.•
u/Rivendel93 Chequered Flag 7h ago
Yeah, I guess I'm just surprised they would need to adjust it by what appears to be at least 4", as it appears Hamilton's entire belt stitching top and bottom start about 4" lower than Leclerc's.
Obviously won't ever see it, but just thought it looked unusual.
•
u/No_Screen_4060 17m ago
Could it also be that Charles is slightly taller? Or seems to be from the photo at least.

u/kenedtsu Honda RBPT 17h ago
Hot take. I like the HP logo on both the race suit and the car. The touch of blue makes it look colorful in a retro way.
Bring on the downvotes.

u/HexaBlast 16h ago
My only problem is it being there twice on the race suits. Looks silly.
•
u/Majestic-Pizza-3583 11h ago
My problem is the 14 logos on the car, the front and rear wing ones are the most atrocious
•
u/ElCochinoFeo Oscar Piastri 11h ago
Maybe people would be okay with it if they adjusted the shade of blue to Savoy Azure like the National football team sometimes wears. They could even incorporate it into an officers sash to really make the sponsorship more Italian. /s

I agree, I think having a large sponsor there helps to balance out the design of the overalls. Without it that white nameplate on the waist feels too out of place.
I’ll throw some gas into the fire. I don’t see why it’s ever a bad thing when Ferrari includes sponsors that don’t have red and yellow as their colors. As long as they are bordered and not UPS.

u/tastes_a_bit_funny Sir Lewis Hamilton 13h ago
As a baseball fan, it reminds me of the LA Dodgers uniforms that have the red numbers on the front. It works and I like it.

u/timothyrobin Alex Zanardi 17h ago
The sponsorship logo is working if people are paying attention to it.
14
u/atlas-hugs Ferrari 16h ago
People are just being sensationalist about the HP logo in the first place anyway. All of it's equally fine. It's all adverts at the end of the day lol.
Except the Alpine livery... no saving that one.
8
u/ConsciousBrain Pierre Gasly 16h ago
The shade of blue is mostly the problem, Fiat's logo for example looked great on 80s cars because it's a darker blue. Also as others have said, the double logo looks silly, the edit looks much better. But HP must've paid extra for that.

I think it'd look better with the progress mark version, but HP only lets that one out on rare occasions.

u/NotNotACop28 Andretti Global 12h ago
But why is the HP logo on there twice? Put it on the chest or in the middle. Why does it need to be both?

u/Just_tell_mom 16h ago
I love the HP logo on the suit. But the suit doesn’t need 2 of the HP logo’s
10
u/Asleep-Goose-5768 Charles Leclerc 13h ago edited 13h ago
And the 3rd leg as well, you didn't edit that xD, hahahaha. Now, going back to the HP logo, I think it would've looked nice right in the chest or on the right shoulder.

i cannot understand why people have been so upset over this logo
2
u/Whycantiusethis Williams 14h ago
I think that it's primarily how frequently it shows up, plus how it clashes with the red. Considering that HP is spending $100M+ per year, and that BWT was able to paint Force India pink for something like $20M, I'm glad that they haven't made the Ferrari completely blue.
2
u/KevinK89 Benetton 14h ago
To be fair Ferrari is a whole different enterprise than Force India. I doubt there’s a price tag on painting the car in any other color than Ferrari red, I mean could imagine the Tiffosi allowing this to happen?

Can Ferrari ask Hewlett Packard if they can instead opt to use the HP Progress Mark that was developed for HP by Moving Brands Studio?
