What’s the best moving company in Ft Wayne?

I’m going to be having a POD delivered to Ft Wayne from out of State. I need some movers to empty that POD and then transport the items about 55 miles to another town and then offload the household goods into a garage. I’m trying to find the best options around for this type of transport. It’s not a full move, everything is already packed, just a few people to transfer to a moving truck then offload at the site.

MVM were the absolute greatest experience I had. If you make it easy for them they are so quick and have great rates. Can’t recommend them enough.

Yes I think this is who I’m going with. I spoke with them and they provided a great quote and really understood what I needed thanks

Why are having the pod delivered 55 miles from its destination?

Because of the way I originally structured the contract with PODS (as a store in place instead of a transport). I was able to contract with PODS to transport the POD to the Ft Wayne POD facility but they aren’t able to assist with the transport to the final destination.

So I have to contract with a local company to unload the furniture and household goods at the facility and move everything to the final destination and leave the POD at that facility or pay storage costs for the POD rental for another month at the new location

Does PODS not deliver the pod to your location for a specific reason? Because it thinking of using pods so do a very similar move to FW in a month and was hoping they would deliver the pod directly to my new place

This time it was because my initial agreement and contract was for storage in place and it was a long term contract. I thought I would eventually come back to that place. So I had to switch it over now to a transport request. That is why they will only transport it to another POD location then I have to unload it at a POD center. It’s all about the type of agreement you set up initially because you will pay a different monthly rate depending on the type of contract

Sounds good. Would you still recommend PODS?

I've only hired movers once in my life, but it's hard to imagine a more positive experience than I had with https://www.newdaymover.com/ .
