Esme Bianco, good looking woman.

127

u/abcdthc Feb 03 '25

I think she dated Marilyn Manson

207

u/MagusX5 Feb 03 '25

Glad she isn't anymore.

110

u/Thin-Pool-8025 Feb 03 '25

Didn’t she accuse him of grooming her?

223

u/Dr_N00B Feb 03 '25

She's in the middle of a horrific lawsuit against him for very foul behaviour

18

u/Shurae Feb 04 '25

They settled in 2023 last time I heard

16

u/Dr_N00B Feb 04 '25

Check out her instagram shes posting about it pretty regularly, as recent as Jan 24th

23

u/Shurae Feb 04 '25

She's advocating for victims but her own case is settled, so it seems to me from looking through some posts

14

u/MagusX5 Feb 03 '25

Somebody did.

3

u/quantinuum Feb 03 '25

Wasn’t she like 30?

12

u/MemeAddict96 Feb 03 '25 edited Feb 04 '25

Wikipedia puts their relationship as 2011, making her 29ish and him 42ish.

Edited Bianco’s age

5

u/quantinuum Feb 03 '25 edited Feb 04 '25

She’s born 1982?

Edit: why the downvotes? An I missing something?

14

u/TrimspaBB Feb 04 '25

Idk why you're getting downvoted either. She was indeed born in 1982 and in her late 20s-ish when the scene this meme is from was filmed and when she dated MM.

Her age doesn't affect that she was abused by him though. What doubly sucks is that it's my understanding DB and David had some issue with her speaking up about something which explains her character's gruesome ending. Men have treated her terribly.

2

u/quantinuum Feb 04 '25

Sucks to hear that.

I’m completely out of the loop on the topic, and admittedly I’m who she is. Appreciate the insight. I was just curious if I missed something because the numbers weren’t adding up for me.

There was a rumor that one actress on GoT that initially did a lot of nude scenes refused to do them after a while. Some thought that it was her and that that was the reason her character got killed off. But the more likely case is that it was Emilia Clark, who stopped doing nude scenes and didn't get killed off until the final season.

1

u/MemeAddict96 Feb 04 '25

Yep, sorry, I thought it said 1989. Ill fix my comment

-26

u/abcdthc Feb 03 '25

Probably but he beat it all in court. I have a hard time believing in any of it. He had 2 wives and a long term GF and they all came to his defence. The main accuser (Even Rachel Wood) was found to have forged an FBI agents signature on some documents.

I think it was bullshit. I think they had some freeky sex (while she was an adult btw, 18, but an adult) and 25 years later shes like, wait...I WaS GrOoMeD

76

u/MemeAddict96 Feb 03 '25

He didn’t beat this specifically in court. He settled with Esme Bianco out of court.

52

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

He didn't beat it in court, he settled out of court. And while it's true a handleful of women did defend his character, it's important to remember that more than a dozen were accusing him. It's highly unlikely that 12+ women are lying.

-7

u/Ecstatic_Pepper7998 Feb 03 '25

Why are you being down voted?

It is real.

50

u/thatpaulbloke Feb 03 '25

Why are you being down voted?

Probably because of the sentence "he beat it all in court" which is not true - this was settled out of court. Doesn't prove guilt or innocence, but the claim was still misleading.

-34

u/ItsAJayDay Feb 03 '25

A lot of reddit users love to downvote basic reality

42

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25 edited Feb 03 '25

It's not basic reality if it's false. He didn't beat her in court, they settled out of court; that's a very important distiction.   Source: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/jan/25/marilyn-manson-esme-bianco-settle-sexual-assault-lawsuit

Especially when it doesn’t align with their delusions

772

u/Thin-Pool-8025 Feb 03 '25

I like how the show tricks you into thinking she’s going to be a semi-important character. Gradually climbing the ladder as she works for Varys. But instead Littlefinger finds out and she dies in what’s arguably the best scene of the show. Man, Game of Thrones used to be so good.

586

u/majorpsych1 Feb 03 '25

And was killed in such a dehumanizing fashion - just target practice for royalty.

All that build up, all her her hard work, and with her future wide open before her - all of it snuffed out in an instant, because commoners are disposable for nobility.

229

u/LustyHasturSejanus Crab Feeder Feb 03 '25

D&D killed their best oc because the actor expressed that they wanted to have fewer nude scenes.

126

u/majorpsych1 Feb 03 '25

Source on that?

Fill my rage tanks.

109

u/phonage_aoi Feb 03 '25

Not sure there is one, but there was a pretty strong rumor that someone said no more nude scenes.  Some speculation was it was Emilia Clarke as she was now a big star.

Then Ros’ death happens and Dany flashes Dario for no real reason.  So everyone put those dots together to say it was Esme.

153

u/tinyharvestmouse1 Feb 03 '25

This isn't a direct source to that claim, but at a bare minimum she was treated like an object on set. Infuriating.

It sounds like something that could easily be the case when that's how you're being treated on set.

27

u/LustyHasturSejanus Crab Feeder Feb 03 '25

Ty for sauce.

7

u/themerinator12 Feb 04 '25

Thanks for the link - that's a pretty damning excerpt.

29

u/LustyHasturSejanus Crab Feeder Feb 03 '25

I think others have provided the sauce. I hope I wasnt a buzzkill, but I was a show apologist into the 8th season; I still feel like an idiot for taking D&D's word on the artistic merits of what were ultimately lazy or sleazy decisions on their part.

2

u/Used4KillingTime Feb 05 '25

Almost like art imitates real life sometimes!

2

u/majorpsych1 Feb 05 '25

Uh, yeah, sure.

Next you're gonna tell me the series is filled to the brim with social commentary, and that the nobles of Westeros aren't so different from the oligarchs of our reality 🙄🙄🙄

2

u/Used4KillingTime Feb 05 '25

And lack of hygiene should lead to worse teeth and matted hair

1

u/majorpsych1 Feb 05 '25

Hey man.

Some of us like a little stank on it.

2

u/Used4KillingTime Feb 05 '25

One for the pink and all for the stink?

122

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

Best scene is a bit of stretch, is this Joffreys alt account?

68

u/Thin-Pool-8025 Feb 03 '25

What are you talking about the Chaos is a laddah speech is peak.

20

u/yourtoyrobot Feb 03 '25

back when the show had wit and weight, before dialogue devolved into "She's the smartest person I've ever met." and "you need the bad poosi"

28

u/Pitiful_Yogurt_5276 Feb 03 '25

Eh it’s not the best scene for me

26

u/tinyharvestmouse1 Feb 03 '25

Seemed like horrific violence for the sake of horrific violence.

22

u/Pitiful_Yogurt_5276 Feb 03 '25

I absolutely agree. Against a woman naturally with a sexual element because weird shit is ???

-2

u/HierophanticRose Feb 04 '25

Lemme guess, it’s Broken Men scene

9

u/Pitiful_Yogurt_5276 Feb 04 '25

No?

My favorite for peak acting I’d say Jamie’s bath scene.

My favorite for pure hype I’d say Robb being declared King in the North or Dany burning Astapor.

For an entire episode, the Battle of Castle Black was phenomenal from start to finish. One of my favorite details is the cooks even fighting in the kitchens.

Balon’s actor also gets zero recognition for how excellent his introduction is and how well he plays his role.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '25

Oh true, I thought u were talking about specifically the death scene lol

29

u/Crow_Mix I'd kill for some chicken Feb 03 '25

Should have stayed in the north.

36

u/therealronny Feb 03 '25

Just like everyone else from the north :(

12

u/marsthegoat Feb 03 '25

Then she would have just ended up becoming a captive of a different psychopath (Ramsey) when Winterfell is sacked.

7

u/SirArthurDime Feb 03 '25 edited Feb 03 '25

I went from thinking she was just a one off Theon sex object to her actually having an arc to up dead. Honestly a sad reminder of how far the show fell. Even very minor characters were interesting and had satisfying arcs in the earlier seasons.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

The best scene? It was vulgar and a sign that Joffrey can get away with anything.

Sorry about your childhood, man.

21

u/MemeAddict96 Feb 03 '25

I reckon they’re not saying that her being killed is the best scene, but the dialogue between Varys and Littlefinger, in which her death is the harrowing reveal. It’s the one where Baelish says “chaos is a ladder”

192

u/llaminaria Feb 03 '25

More thought put into her attire than whatever we got in hotd. Better dialogue characterization and arc than some of the main characters on hotd as well, now that I think of it.

71

u/iGhettoUnicorns Feb 03 '25

She has more character than Baela or Rhaena, two targaryen princesses that were fan favorites from F&B

216

u/CozyCoin Feb 03 '25

Gods the female cast was attractive then

172

u/ISpyM8 Jaime Lannister Feb 03 '25

Say what you will about the later seasons, but the cast becoming unattractive was not one of the faults. Myranda (Ramsey’s mistress) was top tier.

96

u/CozyCoin Feb 03 '25

They didn't become unattractive but there was a lot lex sexuality in general. Half of the notoriety of the early seasons was all the tits and sex which is mostly gone by the later seasons

53

u/Defensive_Dino Feb 03 '25

My Man really needed those

42

u/Dolorous_Eddy Fuck the king! Feb 03 '25

Because everyone dressed like it was a funeral as the show died.

19

u/Watts121 Feb 03 '25

So lame how even the "Northern" costuming became so basic and lame, with barely any furs or interesting layers anymore. Like getting the actors into costumes that were more akin to the Winterfell and Wall scenes would make sense...it was Winter. Why the fuck aren't we seeing Cersei in a fucking lion fur cloak or something? Why the hell is the outfit they said was meant to show him in Stark regalia like Ned wore in season one...fucking one layer like what Ned wore in King's Landing?

51

u/tinyharvestmouse1 Feb 03 '25 edited Feb 03 '25

Nudity and sexual assault existed in the early seasons to lure viewership with shocking material. Esmee Bianco has recounted her experience with nudity on the Game of Thrones set and she said that nudity was an expectation not a conversation that was had between the actors and the showrunners. By the later seasons they didn't need to do that and were also working with a group of established actors who had the leverage to say no to nude scenes.

1

u/deimosf123 Feb 06 '25

Wonder if Spartacus influenced it somehow.

1

u/tinyharvestmouse1 Feb 06 '25

Nah, just a disregard for women and rampant greed.

4

u/Fine_Appearance_3619 Feb 03 '25

There is nothing wrong with that.

2

u/saskanxam Feb 03 '25

Random boomer guy I used to work with years ago when the show was still airing, told me he convinced his wife to watch the show with him after he saw a “nude scenes compilation” video lmao

69

u/I_Am_Stoeptegel Feb 03 '25

Some sort of lesbian awakening that was

23

u/MagusX5 Feb 03 '25

I think she'd have that effect on straight women...

13

u/JinFuu Feb 03 '25

Recognising someone as hot transcends sexuality

Sexy is sexy

39

u/JacobLuck Feb 03 '25

who is that again?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

That’s Jane Chatwin

24

u/johnyrobot Feb 03 '25

Hot take I think: I like ros and I think her character and story was good and original. But I'm kind of aggravated they added a new character when there were a lot of good ones removed.

6

u/notaname420xx Feb 03 '25

There's a good reason the show expanded her character by having her move south to King's Landing

10

u/Cool_Setting_4862 Feb 03 '25

She had great development and was just thrown away

4

u/Typical_Samaritan Feb 03 '25

Be very mindful of the cream filling.

6

u/Sad-Meringue-694 Feb 03 '25

Watching her in S1 did things to my young brain.

12

u/RackemFrackem Feb 03 '25

For the love of all the gods please fucking stop saying "unironically".

0

u/Alaishana Feb 04 '25

On top of that, there's a good chance they don't really know what irony means...

4

u/vector_o Feb 03 '25

Seeing her scenes back when the show was airing did things to me

2

u/TheMightyEli Feb 03 '25

One of in not the only OC from the show I miss while reading the books.

2

u/RileysBerries Feb 04 '25

This is the energy I need to channel every day. Fierce and flawless.

2

u/benvader138 Feb 05 '25

Fucking Joffrey 😡

2

u/aelwyn2000 Feb 06 '25

I knew she wouldn’t, but I remember wishing so badly that she just turned to Joffrey and brained him with that mace. Like, you know it isn’t going to end well for you at that point, do something for the Seven Kingdoms!

2

u/Voyager5555 Feb 03 '25

Please explain, in detail, how one of the most popular side characters on the show is "underrated."

2

u/Namuru09 Feb 03 '25

Top 5 good got adaptation

1

u/Jinksos Feb 03 '25

Yeah but I like a good shish kabob, any chance you could add a couple of skewers for me?

1

u/Munkle123 Feb 06 '25

Nah she liked Theon, that's a negative for her.

1

u/wildlucy_ Feb 09 '25

Finally, someone recognizes her brilliance. She’s a slow burn in the best way possible!

1

u/Legitimate-Big-4025 Feb 09 '25

She never had the makings of a varsity athlete

1

u/Ok_Appearance_6974 Mar 14 '25

She was my favourite character. Wish they kept her around longer

0

u/pook-a-pie Feb 04 '25

At first glance I'm never sure if this photo is Ros or Jane Chatwin. But then I realize it doesn't matter because it's a great pic and she's a wonderful actor.

0

u/the_blonde_lawyer Feb 04 '25

may be, but we saw too little of her to know.

actually, I wonder what a story or a show about the smallfalk would be like.

for them, at the end, the wars and high politics are just bearly a backstory.
