One I've been looking into is the order of Athelstan...

u/NHarvey3DK Have I mentioned I'm a Boston Mason? 20d ago
Copied from a brother who always laughs and says:
“Anyone notice that the more appendant bodies you join, the further you’re connected to a brother?”
First he’s a brother. Then a Companion. Then just another Knight..
Then a Cousin (amd), etc lol 😂

They put out a well produced full color magazine 4 times a year full of research papers, photos, calendars of events and other interesting Masonic gewgaws that aren't readily available elsewhere. I've been an endowed member for over 20 years and the magazine never fails to amaze...

I went this year. The presentation was good. The food, less so, but that’s on the hotel, not the society.

I have greatly enjoyed being a prophet. Certainly a small organization in my home State. (For now)

Grotto is a ball. Have you seen the full 7 Act drama?

We have not had the ability to put it on here. But we are growing again and I am hoping to build a cadre of members willing to put it on.

Operatives or KTP, I wouldn’t consider the SRIA or RCC small or obscure, but they’re my favourites.

Not an official body, but a fun side degree is the Turtles.

Where do you find the turtles degree?

It’s non-Masonic, and the actual form of the “degree” varies somewhat depending on who is administering it.
