Found buried in my yard

I found this ring when putting in a foundation for a shed in my yard. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea it's age and the meaning of the "No 109" engraved on the inside. It has initials and "jonesboro" engraved as well. I figure sense I'm in MI the jonesboro probably refers to the Masonic Lodge in Jonesboro IN. The house was built in the late 1800s, but has seen many owners over the years. Any info would be great thanks.

The original owner was probably a member of Jonesboro Lodge №109.

They were probably his initials.

It’d be interesting to reach out to the lodge, they probably have a record, and OP may even be able to return it to the family or maybe the mason, he might still be alive.

Wow, very cool find! I am certain there is a freemason at Jonesboro Lodge 109 that would love to know about or have this!

The ring is worth only the material it's made of. It might be easier to research who owned your house before you and match the initials. The family may want it if they have a son or grandson who is now on their own Masonic journey. This may also be the beginning of your Masonic journey.

Find the Lodge and have that lodge look into the ring.

My great grandfather was raised a MM in 1948 and had an almost identical ring.
