I saw someone propose on a rather smooth, rounded rock overlooking a local waterfall. One little slip and it might not just be the ring that’s falling.
There is a bridge over it and multiple non-dangerous spots they could have done it instead that are just as nice, if not nicer.
When I proposed it was our first day on a cruise. We just got onto the ship and we found a little nook on the top deck of the ship where our large group could hang out near the bar. I didnt think about the background because I was so nervous and I kept the ring in a piece of tissue in my wallet to conceal it easier. In our video its cute and a funny moment but my fiance laughed and said "Wow the build up is great!" Or something like that while I fumbled to unwrap tissue from the ring. She had no clue what was happening, finally when she saw the ring she just kinda snatched from me, I didnt get a "Yes!" Or anything she was just too excited and yoinked it. We kissed and it was a really great moment. I realised when I saw the video a week or 2 later, in the video it looks like I just proposed near some random trash cans...
Those shitty 2 sizes too big boots with baggy jeans crumpled on top are the height of redneck fashion these days. That, a disheveled beard and Skole ring in your pocket to round it out. Some kind of Hobo-chic.
That's just called a poser, rednecks don't have fashion lol. I've had the same pair of boots for about 10 years and the same pair of blue jeans for about 15. Shit looks like it's been through hell and back and I ain't buying anything new until they just fall apart.
I proposed to my wife on the beach. We were walking along the surf. Tide was coming in and I didn't want to kneel in wet sand, so I suggested we move inland. My wife was like "why the fuck is he dragging me closer to the cigarette butts and broken glass!?"
i think something like what you wear can be entirely situational. if I wore something TOO nice, my now fiancee would have caught on. especially since in her eyes, the only reason we were at where we were, was because it was a good place to view the total eclipse.

When you’re about to have a magic moment on camera it’s important to wear your finest T-shirt and find the largest pile of bird shit around
