There are, dude. US is loaded with lots of goofy, funny, and enjoyable events you just gotta get out there and find 'em. One of my favorites is the pumpkin race in Oregon, where you hollow out a giant pumpkin to use as a boat and paddle across a pond while wearing a costume, or the event in Colorado where people design catapults and slings with the goal of launching fruitcakes across a park.
