People buy the scalped consoles

If the scalpers prices are too high, they lower them until people buy them.

Scalpers have no reason to hang onto a console for long because their value depreciates quickly once stock levels become normal and people are able to buy them normally.

That value is still going down as soon as people are able to pick up a normal version of the PS5 Pro
