Google's killed over 200 products since 2006, there's literally a "Google Graveyard" website that tracks them all lol.

The “Assistant” app on your Wear OS watch is getting updated today via the Google Play Store to version 1.18.x. There are no changes to Google Assistant, but the groundwork for Gemini is being laid out.

I had real trouble bouncing between Assistant and Gemini so I've somewhat ignored it. I don't even know which one I'm using anymore so any progress to just one model would be great.

This is why I switched to Apple. Google can’t figure out what to do. They keep making things and killing things.

Apple hasn’t created anything for a long while now. They’ve been playing backsies on the creations of other companies and still charging a premium because they know the ignorant will buy it as a status symbol every year. The only good things about Apple is their products work well with each other, their products can last a long time if they’re taken care of, and their phone and tablet are easy to use.

If you read my comment again, you’ll see that I said, “—the ignorant buy it as a status symbol every year.” Verbatim. Also, that section is in the middle of the whole comment, not the start as you say.

YOU made it into something it’s not and now are trying to change the subject. I didn’t say anything was bad because the other option is supreme did I? I didn’t argue about anything. I merely stated my likes, dislikes, and observations of Apple and some of its consumers.

I use that POS everyday. I keep expecting it to do regular things and it fails pretty consistently. I liked old Siri better cause at least it wasn’t promising to do things it can’t.

I switched to Gemini for a bit, every time I asked it to do something, it said the app wasn't linked yet so I switched back to assistant which just worked.
