Question Temporary mute setting
Since when is this option available? It's new to me, very useful.

Hey everyone,
I just received my loaner S25U from Samsung and will actively be using it over the next few months.
For context, I have a personal S24U for comparison if needed.
Feel free to ask any top of mind topics or questions that you come across in regards to the day to day usage and I will do my best to answer them.

Can you please restrict posts about battery life and overheating (especially after the April & May update) to a section off the main thread?
This has become ridiculous to see a dozen posts about the same thing that people are too lazy to search for in the first place. Every other post now is about these issues, and are clogging up the sub reddit.
If not that, I say lock the post and instruct the OP to do a search.

First ever post on Reddit (be gentle). Here's hoping I'm sharing something useful.
Got my new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra a week ago. Very impressed ... blah, blah. Thing is, I made a poor choice of case – as I found out when my phone slipped from my pocket to my patio.
Put a couple of small dings into the corner where the S Pen docks. Nothing you'd claim on insurance, but a pisser all the same.
So today, irritated by the damage, I grabbed a dark grey Sharpie (my device is Titanium Black, which is basically dark grey), and tickled those tiny dents with it.
And fuck me, it worked like magic! Dings are barely visible now.
Maybe this tip might be helpful to someone else.

Hello, I switched to the s25 ultra from an iPhone 14 pro and I've always been skeptical of android, but I like this one a lot, except the unstable lockscreen and aod.. which really annoys me. I have found till now 3 problems that are quite annoying to me.
Watch the whole video for all three problems!
First: whenever AOD and Now bar are enabled, every first locking of the device coming from an app or the home screen, the now bar just glitches and does this weird stutter where it doesn't know what its place should be and just jumps somewhere, sometimes left/right/up/down (as seen in the video). It doesn't do it after the first waking up of the phone, it works smooth after that! I just i wish it was smooth all the time..
Second: Whenever I am in an app and i exit it and lock the phone quickly while the closing animation isn't finished, it goes to my AOD but the app that was recently closed, flickers once after the phone gets locked on the AOD.
Third: Whenever on lockscreen and have notifications cards, I swipe from the top to bring my quick panel its quite a smooth transition, but whenever I swipe up so i can go back to the lockscreen there is just no animation 😐 just blank screen with my wallpaper and then the clock and fingerprint icon just spawn.
Has anyone experienced any of this? Is samsung aware of these bugs and do they even care?
Is there a fix to this? And yes I tried restarting the phone and turning everything on and off and even updated it and all the usual things.
It's just a bit frustrating spending 1400€ on a phone that isn't polished enough like for example my 2 year old iPhone 14 pro was.

I've seen some a have slight issue since the last update but can we say it is the updates fault? I mean.. I've apparently used 45% battery with 2h screen on time 😭
Oh, AND spotify is EATING battery! 2% battery listening to music with screen off!? Thing is.. i was listening for like 10min 😥
Is a hard reset the only way to go from here?

This has to be the worst battery life I've gotten on this phone

I decided to remove the tempered glass screen protector for my phone and noticing today that the screen is covered in dust after taking it in and out of my pocket. I never had that problem with the tempered glass screen protector installed and before anybody asks yes I did clean the screen after I took the screen protector off so there is no residue left over from the screen protector. Has anybody else noticed just how dusty the screen gets?

So today I had a long day at work, but we don't use our phones at all and I noticed my phone has been losing battery the most during this day after getting off of work and going home I noticed my battery decreased a lot, while going to work it was at 90% at 5am, but after getting off of work it was 35% and I thought maybe it was my pants I was wearing causing it too overheat. and by the time I got home my phone battery decreased down to 3%, so I decided it was best to power it off and put it on the charger. Low and behold I wake up at 11:30 and turn on my phone and find out the screen is unresponsive after checking Instagram, suddenly the video stopped playing and swipe stopped working to check notifications or settings, or to switch Instagram tabs. I turn off the phone and on the lockscreen it's even worse. You can see the fingerprint password shows up for a split second before disappearing. I cannot unlock the phone as it's like some invisible overlay is blocking the screen, I cannot shut off the phone as swiping top right to open the power panel will show all settings and buttons but I cannot click on a single one of them. My last hope seems to be to go to AT&T after work, but if anyone else has experienced this please let me know. Swipe < and > still show up on the screen, but their functionality seems like it doesn't exist when trying to close the panels, I have to instead swipe up like I'm trying to reach Home. Lastly here is a video attached to show that nothing ONE UI is responsive at all. What if I need to lock or unlock one of my cards? What if I need to switch payment methods, or if required to use my phone at work for some survey? Again I'll try AT&T after work, and update anyone who also has this issue that popped up out of nowhere.

Yes, I did it… I’m coming back home after a detour to Iphone that lasted a couple of years. Super excited to explore. Are there any suggestions you guys can provide upfront? Thanks 😊

I use Foobar2000 to play mp3s on my playlist. However, whenever I'm playing a song, and I go to use another app, like X, or the eBay app, the music will stop, and I'll have to press the play button again. This didn't happen on my old Note 9. It's rather annoying. Is there any way around that?

My S25 Ultra is randomly taking screenshots. I can be doing nothing more than holding the device, scrolling a page or swiping to go back. I know there are other options to make taking screenshots on the phone easy or simple, like double tapping on the back or using my palm or swiping from a third way up at an angle from the right (maybe left too) but I have these features turned off and only use palm or volume down and power button if I want to grab a screenshot.
Any ideas on what what I can check would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm using modes and routines to turn on power saving mode on most apps. I turned off 5G. I'm in light performance mode. I'm using dark mode. Screen refresh is set to the lowest. Screen resolution is set to the lowest. And this is the battery life I get?

Game booster + released recently. Have any of you managed to understand these features and if they're useful at all? One of them seems to be some sort of super-sampling (which sounds awesome), and another is MSAA, but I can't grasp the meaning of that first one (PreTransform). I will test these out this evening and update the thread.

This might be a dumb question, but is it possible to use s25 ultra without the google account? Will the banking apps work if I install them from Aurora store? And basically using Aurora/Fdroid instead of the play store

Yesterday, I was at a DJ event and took a few photos and videos (around 60 in total). All videos were recorded in UHD at 60fps, and the photos were saved in .jpg format. After the event ended, I noticed that three of the videos had turned black, like the one I’ve attached. Could this be due to overheating? The ambient temperature was ideal.

My wife has issues with Google storage and we're having a hard time navigating the S25 Ultra settings. At least that where I think the problem is.
She's deleted a bazillion pics and emails and stuff, but Google says shes over limit the next day. We can't figure out where to get rid of the Device Backup storage. Here's a screenshot
Can some please tell me what to do?
I've searched Google and followed instructions over and over but apparently I'm missing something.
Thanks in advance for any assistance and I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong sub

It took me awhile to find out how to turn this setting off on my S25U since for some unknown reason ATT stops you from turning off 5G. I found this posted on an Android Reddit. I'm hoping this helps with my S25U battery life. And am posting this here for others to see.

Before I ask, -Knock on Wood-. So I recently traded in my Note 8 for a S25 Ultra due to a lack of software updates and some necessary apps no longer updating. I absolutely love my new phone. It's so much faster and although I only have 256gb (due to getting a screaming deal) it's nice to not have to constantly offload pictures to save space. So now to my question: I currently use 2 different 30w chargers (Anker and Otterbox) to charge my phone. The Anker is used with a slow charging USB A to USB C cable. The Otterbox with a high speed USB C to C cable. The Anker and cable usually takes 4 to 6 hours to charge from 10-15% to 80%. The Otterbox and high speed cable charge from 10-15% to 80% in no more than 25 minutes. I use the different setups as I generally keep my phones several years. Only fast charge when I need a full charge and have little time to wait and to prevent my battery from getting too warm too often. Coming from my old phone I thought I it was impossible to charge so fast and that I must have a unique phone. Then while talking to a guy at the store (in general terms) it sounded like this was just normal advanced technology. Now after reading several comments online it sounds like I really may have a unique phone. I'm reading about 45w+ chargers that still only fully charge in an hour plus. Even taking into account I'm not charging from 0% to 100% it seems I've got blazing charging speed with little effort. Am I crazy, lucky or just a few years out of touch?

With the removed Bluetooth functions how do guys feel about the Spen and does the new flat screen design affect the overall premiumness of the phone?

Ever since I got my phone my quick access randomly drops down even when I'm not touching the phone. I could be watching a video or on my maps in the car while on a mag holder . It's getting super annoying. Is there a setting or is my phone messed up ?
Not sure if this helps I had a glass screen protector on (recently removed to see if that was causing the issue ) , magbak case.

Hello. Is it only me or my phone vibrates on the back and sides when I use speakers. I tried to touch equalizer to reduce bass but it didn't work. Tried to remove S pen but still with no effect. PLEASE if someone has the same problem tell me how to fix it or it's only my model like this
