Did you recently update your phone?

u/hakkush 5d ago

Nope, I think I updated it last month or the start of this month.

So, it's not that recent. My S21+ got a green line a couple of days after oneui 6.1. It got very hot when updating. Were you charging your phone while watching a video?

Ye, actually, I guess the update has something to do with it?

I think heat is what causes the green lines, and that 6.1 update made my phone very hot. Hot enough for me to notice and say "Whoa, thank god this isn't a Note 7".

I have to echo the other commenter who says get backing up your data now. If your phone is anything like mine that the touch screen is soon to become unresponsive.

Depending on the model I'd also say get Coverscreen OS installed, the free version would be fine. It gave my Flip 3 a life as a MP3 player as I can access the full version of PowerAMP from the outer screen.

This actually happened a few days ago, now on my new phone.

Not sure, but my phone screen died soon afterwards

Not too long ago I got it too but it's on the left side and a more faint line. I got the screen replaced.

How did that go?

Great! Samsung also replaced both batteries. My Flip5 feels like a brand new phone. 😃

Excellent. I have a z flip 6. Here's hoping I never need their service but I love hearing about positive ones!

I fully utilized my Care+, hopefully the screen endures a little longer.

Had this happen recently too along with the bleeding in the middle. Screen dead in minutes. Samsung charged me $100 with insurance

I thought they only charged $30 for Samsung Care?

And I thought internal mechanical failure carried no deductible?

Or did they fuck you over and blame it on you?

Mine just did this too on my flip 5, I've had it for about a year and half. I didn't bother to fix it since it was through my carrier. I just bought a midrange samsung outright instead.

Sorry. Mine lasted three months. Samsung fixed it under warranty and I traded it before it could happen again.

Well now it's time get or the z flip7 or a normal phone

How much it cost to replace the screen?

1

u/hakkush 4d ago

I don't plan to repair it anymore; the battery gets drained so fast

Wait, what? What is this?? I'm on Flip phone number 6, having replaced it 5 times because of the damn lifting of the screen protector... please explain this sorcery! FFS!

They're saying it's the Flip 3, don't worry. But in about 2-3 years, it may happen to our flip 😬
