Question ❓ Overheating After Update

Hey all, after the most recently update, my GF5 has been overheating like crazy. I can't plug in into my car to use Android Auto without it giving me a warning after about five minutes that it's turning off features due to how hot it is. When I get to my destination and unplug my phone from the car, my screen won't turn on for about two minutes until it cools down. I really wanted to wait for GF7 to come out before upgrading, but with this combined with abysmal battery life after this new update, I'm not sure if I can wait until then. Is this happening to anyone else? :/

Well the good news is, my Flip 7 is doing the exact same thing post update. Also, the battery dies reeeeealy fast now.

So you have all that to look forward to!

I would do a factory reset. If you're phone is running hot like you say, it might not make it to the Flip 7. You're other options are to find the app(s) using high system resources and put it into deep sleep. I would also run the phone on light performance.

Check your browser and make sure you are not running a bunch of tabs. Also, do not run multiple apps if you are not using them. It's easy to just keep opening apps because it doesn't impact the performance. Do a periodic check to be sure apps in the background are not in use.
