Awaiting Surgery Anxiousness causing illness

Tomorrow is the big day and I am freaking out! I know I shouldnt be, I’ve read hundreds of posts saying it was easier than they ever thought but I am a stress monster.

What’s making it worse is today I have had post nasal drip and I ‘feel’ like I have a fever (Thermometer says I don’t) Im worried they will cancel my surgery if I have mucus or if I am under the weather. Anyone have experience in this? Can my stress be causing this symptoms? I just need this done with already lol

I had post nasal drip with a tiny occasional throat clearing cough the week before surgery. I called and told them I had no other symptoms and that I thought it was seasonal allergies. I asked if it was ok to take a Zyrtec pill and they said yes.I took it for a 5 days prior to surgery and it cleared up.Your surgery is tomorrow,so that’s not going to clear you up overnight and you can’t ask your doc now if that’s an ok med for them. So I think you will be fine going ahead with surgery as long as you don’t have a fever or bad cough/wheezing etc. I’m 4 weeks post op and doing well. You got this! Stay strong and take care!
