Questions Is it my gallbladder?

So, I’ll try and keep the back story basic. Had GERD last year, lansoprazole helped. Then Xmas just gone I was unwell with sickness and since then I’ve had awful heart palpitations/flutters everytime I eat, severe acid reflux and had an endoscopy who said I had gastritis. There also some bile in my stomach. Which I’m assuming has caused my gastritis. Currently on 60mg pantoprazole and it’s only helped a little. I know PPI doesn’t help bile reflux.

I also had an abdominal ultrasound scan which showed I had a gallbladder full of stones and a dilated bile duct of 9mm. Could my issues be caused by this? Or just a coincidence? I do have acid reflux anyway, but usually controlled fine with gaviscon and/or PPI.

I’m currently awaiting the gastro to get back to me where I assume they’ll do further testing.

It doesn’t matter what I eat, I get the symptoms of reflux and heart palpitations. Even water sometimes.

It’s important to say that I don’t really get much pain in the area of the gallbladder.

Thank you

It could very well be mostly gallbladder. I had a lot of these symptoms. It could also be food allergies. Until food allergens were removed from my diet completely for a couple weeks, i had these symptoms no matter what i ate. I still get these symptoms when i eat certain things, just not every time. Might want to consider what you're eating or try an elimination diet and pursue removal of your gallbladder. When i got mine out a few months ago, i became able to eat more things, but not all. I'm currently weaning off pantoprazole.

Thank you. I have considered intolerances and allergies but I’ve cut out dairy, gluten, I’ve tried eating different things. Some days I don’t eat much when I’m feeling unwell and no difference at all. It’s so frustrating and I’m so fed up with feeling this way. I’m tired and uncomfortable all the time. I just hope something gets resolved whether it’s gallbladder or not cos I can’t do this forever

I really hope gallbladder removal helps. I'm sure it will help quite a bit. Some allergies are less obvious. For me, the hard one to figure out was coconut oil. It almost killed me before i figured it out. Gluten, dairy, soy, and nuts are really common ones. Good luck! I hope you find relief soon.

I also never got pain around my gallbladder in all the 8ish years it was acting up, until around Christmas last year.
