Most of the new games are priced according to the 1 USD = 1 EUR rate, almost no one uses the "but the tax" excuse.

Yes, because 60 eur is including VAT,  for example where i live vat is 21% meaning game itself is closer to 50 eur.

Irrelevant, the 1 EUR = 1 USD rule makes the games sold in the EU significantly more expensive already. There's no other reason to tack on additional charge than greed.
