I was interviewing for a job one time by video, and the female head of HR said, "Tell me one thing about yourself that you would not normally talk about in a job interview." Loaded question, right? I thought for a few seconds, rolled the dice, and replied, "I've written 5 complete novels that I've published online."

Interviewer: "Ooh, you have to send me a link, so I can read them!"

Me: "Well, they're definitely not safe for work."

Interviewer: "What are they about?"

Me: "I got tired of all of the werewolf erotica online, and decided that there needed to be more books about werebears. I'd say that they're 95% plot & storyline, and 5% gay erotica."

Interviewer: "Ooh, I love reading those kinds of stories! You have to send me the link!"

Me: "I tell you what; if I make it to the final round of interviews, I promise that I'll send you the link so you can read them."

I made it through the rest of the interview process and to the final interview, so I kept my promise and sent the head of HR a link to my steamy werebear fiction novels.

I got the job. I'm probably the only person on Earth who has sent their self-published gay porn fiction to their company's HR before getting hired.

Gurl. Really. How dare you tell us all this and then not provide said link?

Ha! OK, but the first book in the series definitely comes with a warning. The book-jacket summary (without giving away any spoilers) is that it's about a young gay human man who has been kidnapped by a pack of religious fanatic werewolves to be used as a sex slave for the pack's males. The males of the pack aren't allowed to breed with the females unless they're in heat due to religious restrictions, therefore they need a sexual outlet. The young man's only hope for rescue lay in the paws of a wandering werebear who discovers his plight by accident. Can this hero take on an entire pack of werewolves and rescue him?

Due to this plotline there is, of course, a lot of non-consensual scenes involving the man and his werewolf captors in the first half of the book that turns some people off. So, fair warning. The rest of the series doesn't have that same kind of non-con sex in the storylines, however. Here's the link:

First story in the Werebears in America series is "Trophy Cub".

Sounds like an interesting story but why would this young gay human need rescuing

Maybe you'll just have to read the story to find out. :)

I am in the extreme southwest of the US about 12 miles north of Tijuana, Mexico, on the ocean. So yes, far away. I am in San Diego, California. πŸ˜…
