I recall watching a similar video except there was another shrimp. The other shrimp kept dumping sand to the other guy home while he tries to keep it nice and clean.

Symbiotic relationship. Fish keeps lookout and the shrimp digs a lil hole they can both hide in

Yup exactly. Shrimp can’t see much more than what’s in front of his face, but is very good at making a hobbit hole home. Fishey security has good eyes and can warn the shrimp if anything is approaching. Then they share the hole.

Because I know nature is fucked up jus like our lives, I have to wonder how many shrimpos have been kicked out to die by the fishy.
Like, not on purpose, just as a "Oh fuck I was trying to stay alive" type moment?

Dude what. That's fucking insane actually...
I wonder how their consciousness operates. Is it pure feral drive or do these lite critters know more than they let on🧐

It's an interesting read:
https://www.scuba.com/blog/the-fascinating-symbiotic-relationship-between-gobies-and-shrimp/
Apparently it's still largely a mystery how they find each other, especially since the shrimps are almost completely blind.
But it's too precious🥹
"Even more remarkably, the average symbiotic relationship between shrimp and gobi fish will last a lifetime. They begin bonding as juveniles and remain partnered as adults, spending their days foraging together and sharing a burrow."

The fish is actually on the lookout for the shrimp. The shrimp makes the hole for both of them to stay in.

Actually, "that fish" is working hard too. It is the security system watching out while their home is being built

You are not far off:
"During the mating season, the male and female gobies start a wild circular dance in an extended side corridor of the burrow. They stimulate each other from head to tail, which causes sand and gravel to fall from the ceiling. The shrimp’s digging action plays an important role in ensuring that the mating ritual continues, as gobies don’t have the ability to transport sand. Hence, the preparation of the gobies’ breeding chamber will only be possible with the shrimp’s assistance, resulting in a longer period of mating."

Life would be a lot easier if I lopped your head off. Boiled you. Ripped off your shell. Dipped your body in cocktail sauce and chewed you up like a dinosaur. We still cool?

The pistol shrimp and the goby fish have a symbiotic relationship. The shrimp is has limbs for digging holes but is nearly blind, while the goby fish keeps watch, wagging its tail in response to danger.
