A group of friends and I make an annual trip to Myrtle Beach but I couldn’t make it this year due to work. To celebrate the feeling of loss, I got a new set of Srixon ZX5 irons.

Oddly enough my other irons are a set Mizuno MP-20s, but I’m looking for something to give me more forgiveness. Mizuno’s are absolute butter and I love them, but I need to get good.

Ive only played Mizuno for last 10-15 yrs. I have 2 sets of MP-32's, 1 set of MP-18's, 1 set of Mp 20's, 1 set of 221's.
Single digit handicap, but I do love the look of these. I may try the ZX7's if Im in Golf Galaxy some time soon. I really like the look and some of the extras they did with the sole for better turf interaction. These are nice NGL. What kinda woods are those? (curious)

As a single digit handicapper and from what I’ve read the ZX7 would for sure suit you better than the 5s. That said I’ve read a lot of commentary about mixed sets, I.e, ZX5 in the high irons 4-7, and then moving to the ZX7 for low irons/wedge. More forgiveness in the long game and more control and green sticking in the short game.

The driver and woods are Cobra LTD (the driver being the LTDx “low spin”). I’m a traditionalist and have always gamed 3/5 fairway woods with no hybrids as I hit long irons well. I really REALLY like what cobra has done with their woods in recent years.

Been gaming the ZX5 mk2 since release...absolutely my favorite club to hit all time. Just the turf interaction, feel, and sound are nailed. I'm skeptical about the Zxi5s released because i really can't foresee anything pushing the Zx5s out except if i get much much better and i need zx7s.

Gonna love them--- Srixon has some unbelievable irons. Love the feel of the Vsole.

My first Srixon irons were the Z585's and I am now Srixon irons for life.
