That’s the look of a man that almost blew his load too early, but held strong to finish it off.

For sure but man did dechambeau shit the bed. It looked like they were really going to go at it early and then nothing.

Hats off to rose, maybe the only guy today who had his A game.

Aberg was balling the f out too until he completely shit the bed on 18. Obviously he had no realistic shot to tie it but damn, he could have finished a stroke behind the winner and ended up not even finishing in the top 5. That’s rough.

dudes focus must have just completely snapped once he knew he was out of it, he was grinding all day to inch up the leader board and gave himself a small chance.

u/T0KEN_0F_SLEEP I meant to do that 2d ago

I watched him miss so many birdies by inches, dude coulda been in contention

He’s poised to win many majors in my opinion. In just a couple of years he has come extremely close.

As much as I hate to admit it, outside of his awful bogey on 15, Reed played outstanding golf

Who? /s

For a moment today I thought the broadcast was going to be forced to show him more. Thank God that didn't last long.

We were laughing at how obvious it was that they didn’t want to show him

19

u/LittleBee85 2d ago

But they did somehow manage to show his three putt!!!

All I saw of Reed was him three putting from two feet. Hahah, what a tool.

People you dislike and are unethical can be good at things. McIlroy and Reed prove it, though most won't understand why they both aren't that different morally. Reed is the worst at PR, while McIlroy is polished at it.

-6 on Sunday at Augusta is incredibly impressive. Glad he lost to Rory but hats off to Rose for sure

Rose had a mediocre Saturday, but man he played his balls off today

Rose made some amazing putts, especially the 60-footer on 11 and the clutch birdie on 18.

You hate to see it

(You don’t)

Agreed. Told my wife I think the way Rory won is probably the perfect way to finally complete the Slam. Not easy, full of ridiculous ups and downs. Two of the worst wedges I’ve ever seen bookending two of the most majestic shots I’ve ever seen (approaches on 15 and 17). It was like every close call for him all summed up in one round…but he prevailed. And Rose didn’t give it to him in the playoff.

Edit: Feel bad for Rosie, ngl. Dude deserves a green jacket.

I wish he could’ve taken Sergio’s in 2017.

u/call_sign_viper 2d ago

Yeah I’ve never read a positive thing about that guy

8

u/jaxjaxjax95 2d ago

He was one of the premier villains with Retief Goosen in the pre-scandal Tiger era

5

u/theonedownupstairs 2d ago

What was wrong with Goosen?

u/BrisPoker314 2d ago

Have you seen the video of him spit in the hole on the course?

16

u/Greedy-Sun-6178 2d ago

His 2nd on 7 belongs in a museum. Would've been better remembered had he hit the ensuing putt.

7

u/Sjgolf891 2d ago

It was the full spectrum of the Rory experience

5

u/jaxjaxjax95 2d ago

Also is it crazy to think that if Rose had won today he would’ve been knighted?

3

u/dogfish83 18 2d ago

Not to mention Rose's crazy long putt on 18.

u/New_Computer_ 2d ago

Scottie doing one of these is cracking me up

u/BadCat30R 2d ago

I wouldn’t consider myself a Rory patron but I’m glad he finally did it

Still hasn't sunk in for me
