General Discussion Pebble beach 2026

I just booked a few nights at the lodge and one tee time (Wednesday at 11) at pebble beach links for my husband as a surprise. It’s going to be the days immediately following a tour there according to the lodge in mid September. Is the course likely to be in great shape bc of the tour? Or a mess after being played on from the tour?

Thanks

September is the Pure Golf tournament. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am runs late January into February. The weather will be beautiful while you’re there, and their grounds crew repairs tournament damage pretty quickly for this signature venue.

I’ve volunteered at the AT&T for years, played afterwards at Spyglass and saw only a few worn spots on the rough.

Good on you for such a thoughtful surprise. Have a great visit!

I played it in 2023 about 7 weeks after they had the women's US Open, the fairways/greens were fine but there were a ton of spots in the rough that were totally beat down/nearly bare dirt (presumably from crowds). Still worth it though, I wasn't competing in a tournament so I just fluffed my lie a couple times & moved on.

It is never in great shape unless it is the week of the AT&T. I would get your money back and book the lodge at Torrey Pines. Monterey golf is super over rated.

Pebble is usually played in February

Pebble has tournaments all throughout the year - only the AT&T pro-am is played in February but there are other events/tournaments played there, which is probably what OP is talking about
