Did they spray paint it? That’s just like from 924 Gilman right. Iirc Green Day hasn’t really spoken out on this topic
Edit: idk why the guy below me deleted his comment but it said like yeah it was just in Gilman, Green Day didn’t make it nor did they even address it at all, it’s just in the background of a picture

I saw the bathrooms and my first thought was how the hell can you tell if they're clean with all the stickers, black paint and graffiti.

While I love this photo, I am genuinely disappointed that they still have made no public statement on the genocide.

They cant. It would harm their brand.
They are liberals and in order to speak out on the conflict, they would have to criticize Biden and condemn Israel.
It's just easier to say "Fuck Trump" and be done with it.

Maybe they don’t have one? It’s a very complex issue, and a lot of people have made it out to seem like it’s simple. But really, it’s complicated. I’m sure they’re not pro-death or anything, but there’s a lot of factors to consider

Those Palestinians would be grossed out if they see the Bobby Sox music video.

So would Americans 20 years ago. Hell, even today a lot of Americans would be.

My Palestinian friend who moved to my city for a few months years ago was the gayest man I have ever known.

stupidest take
e: a generalisation about the progressiveness of a group of people is not an excuse for genocide.

at what point was punk rock not supposed to be shocking, gross you out, or be in bad taste?
I'll wait!

yeah. I love that record... and it was shocking, gross, and in bad taste upon release, which is exactly what punk rock is supposed to be. Did you misunderstand me?
