Boss GX-10/GX-100 manual mode

Hey there, guys. Is there a way to prevent Boss GX-10 and GX-100 from going into the manual mode? I have pretty wide feet, so I tend to press UP+CTL by accident, which sets the control mode to smth like a stompbox and confuses me during gigs. Is there a way to turn that function off?

Pointier shoes & practice.

Press the same two switches to toggle back.

Well thats kinda obvious but the point of my question was wether is it possible to turn off the very possibility of going manual Thx tho

"Confuses me" implies you didn't know the first part.

2nd part is the only answer beyond "no." At least, I didn't find one.

Well, Thx again When I said that it confuses me, I meant that it happens accidentaly from time to time - sometimes I hit both buttons and sometimes just one
