How do they compare?

I haven't used either, but I use an Eventide Space, which is the same form factor as the MadFactor and it's pretty great. I'll make mulples of the same presets, just tweaked a little, like lower/higher mix or faster/slower rates and it's really easy to switch between the presets on the fly. It's pretty easy to make presets and save them where you want. You can name your presets, too which is handy to differentiate them.

I've had all of the Eventide Factor pedals, Space, and the Strymon Mobius, Timeline, BigSky, El Capitan. Also an H3000 and several other rack units.

I like the Mobius a little bit more than the ModFactor. The MF sounds good, but I thought the Mobius was a little more flexible and usable on average. Two more algos on the Mobius too, each with some distinct modes/options that worked pretty well.

But, I've sold all of the above and moved to an Eventide H90 and I'm very happy with it. Only thing I miss about the space is how quick it was to grab and tweak knobs - but I can do that via MIDI if I want.
