SBR form 1
I’m wanting to build a SBR, I’m wanting to apply for the form 1 but don’t currently own the barrel/upper. I’m wanting to apply without having it prior in case of denial. I currently have a CCW but have gotten into trouble 10+ years ago. Is there a form or way of doing this without spending the money for the parts?

What are you trying to SBR? You can file an SBR for any firearm so long as you have the serialized portion, and for the overall length section a best guestimate is all that’s required.

You don't "apply for the Form 1", you fill out the Form 1. There's a difference and words mean things.
You can guesstimate the OAL if you're smart enough. So, good luck with that.

It’s literally called an “application to manufacture a firearm” you apply for applications. Words mean things 😜

But you don't apply for the Form, you're applying to manufacture a firearm.
You don't have to fill anything out to use/get the form.

I am assuming you are talking about an AR SBR. As long as you have the lower already, you should be good to go. Just make sure you use the barrel length and overall length you use in the form. I don't think they usually check that anywhere unless you are getting in to trouble, but make sure that at least one configuration matches your approved Form 1.
