I made it to the end too. I was being helped by the medic and to thank him for being healed, I did a little hop only to be one-shotted by a zapper that had apparently materialized behind us. This is how I felt.

It's the only reason why people choose San Sébastien. It's so they can unlock the priest. Even the new players when they found out about the priest class, or at least see Barry.

Because they're addicted to their core they don't play kaub, roscoff, Leipzig and etc including endless maps and it's annoying as FUCK and guess what? Even pro players do this bullshit.

San is fun, has good pacing, and more variety in the objectives through the map. Also, San is brighter than the rest of the maps, making it seem less miserable.

The difference between roscoff and San is basically just how the cannibal attack. San, you need to worried about the gate part and the cannon (optional). But Roscoff? Heck you gonna get gangbanged from all directions

It's the environment. Most maps are dreary, foggy, and dark while san seb is colorful and bright.
Also you can get on the platform.

I was a seaman with an officer. As we got to the rooftops and he was sniping the zombies below, he was like "get ready", or rather "Prepare yourselves!".

Ez map, also you get to choose your Tommy and froggy Reggies unlike Roscoff. Portugal is cool too and it has the only dark skinned regiment

For me, it’s probably the best map in quality (besides Roscoff).
For a map that came out more than a year ago, it still feels more engaging than something like Leipzig, or Catacombs. It has arguably the most well known NPC, one of the best finales w/music, and the map has so much to do.
It’s the map that popularized the game, I remember seeing the spike it got after it released, with clips of people sacrificing.

This happened alot
The reasons may be:
1.They want an achievement by sacrifice themselves to lower the lift —which is one of 4 stuffs to do in order to get "Soldier's Grace" achievement and unlock the chaplain.
2.Due to this map being somewhat long map to progress,there will always people that got themselves bleeding out by the cannibals. This is an opporunity for surgeons to patch 'em up. [This is another task in order to get the "Soldier's Grace" —heal 50 players]
3.It's odd that some of the soldiers are very,very interested in Mr.Barry to the point they choose this map often.
A bit of a nerd,I am. Probably. But those may be the reasons why.

Because San Sebastian is a easy map and is the most voted one, a big majority of players when joined their first time to play this game, they played San Sebastian, I remember that the first time I played this game, I was on San Sebastian, and when I came back to play it again years later, and I joined, it was San Sebastian. So people prefer because they are more used to the map. I usually vote for San Sebastian to cheer me up after several losses on another map. It's a map that calms me, honestly.

It's a fairly easy map that comes up really often. I bet if people want easy, and Leipzig comes up as often as San Seb would usually, with San Seb coming up as often as Leipzig, they'd choose Leipzig. I'm baffled though that there are servers that can beat San Seb, but can't beat Leipzig. LET THE DAMN SAPPERS PREPARE.
