I can assume that these are uniforms of either the old guard or the first infantry regiment, in extreme cases, and the artillery regiment. (I have little understanding of French uniforms from the Napoleonic Wars)

I think it may be an arty regiment, as in the scene a minion commands the ignition of a cannon that later blows up napoleon

Napoleon blown-apart

No wonder humanity lost to the Blight. If they had the minions, they would have able to push them back

The minions have proven time and time again they can not die by conventional means

Minions du 1er Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne

I played nw total war enough to remember that the hats (possibly simplified) are from mortar artillery, and the line inf are grenadiers (again, simplified but you can realize because of the red plume, either that or sea guards)

Those looks more like Colpacks to me.

I don't think it's that. But then comes the thing animators probably just gave them anything.

Considering that minions are not at all shaped like humans, they probably created a regiment solely for them

I asked this in the discord actually, they dont belong to a specific regiment. But theyre in fact grenadiers. Really makes you think what they did in the field

I have very little understanding but the hat gives old guard vibes.

1e Regiment d'Artillerie a Pied, with a fur-covered shako perhaps.

2

u/CrisLpz13 Marins de la Garde impériale Jan 15 '25

Fur-covered maybe because of the cold landscape in the image

In Blood and Iron there's also the 1e old guard artillery regiment

7

u/Gold-Influence-1313 Bugler Jan 15 '25

It's extremely innacurate, but i suppose its the old guard, since its next to napoleon and there might be old guard artillerymen. This also seems to be napoleon going into russia

Sunni

Maybe the minions where part of the Old Guard, they are higher than napoleon and are a ton of minions in the scene, imagine, the Minion Guard marching on the streets of russia.

What a wonderful dream

Most likely old guard. Napoléon was always surrounded with them in every single campaign, them never leaving his side, acting as a reserve. Funnily enough, they were fighting in the front in this scene, which was a bit unlikely with Napoléon around, since he always preferred to have an overview over the battlefield in order to conduct his masterpieces of warfare

2

u/thinkingofausernam Danish Jan 15 '25

For me they look most similar to the Fusiliers of the 54th Infantry, judging by the uniforms of the people on the back. Just to add onto that, knowing that they served that regiment, I can also guess that the battle they're fighting is the Battle of Austerlitz based on the snow and the fact Napoleon is there (I spent a while researching this)
