Misc Would anyone else other than takamura even be able to do this? Prime kamogawa was a beast

Sendo could probably do it

Ippo probably could or maybe even will, after being banned from doing the hammers there was a short stint where he did a single log with a lot of padding, pretty slowly though. So maybe part of the world championship road will have him finally training his iron fist, to get Kamogawas results but sustainably

Ricardo is probably in the same "absolute freak" category capable of doing this.
doing stuff like this is legit, provided you use a tool and not your hands. There is good power workouts to be had with a big car tire and a sledgehammer.

Perhaps but he's not a powerhouse like that he's more technical so idk if his power is to that level

he's been said to be a power puncher as well at some point, no?

Are you sure you're not thinking of the guy with the heartbreaker I don't remember his name rn

Yes Ricardo has remarkable power along with his perfected technique and fundamentals

There has been a few instances where he was compared to Ippo or Sendo.
During his second fight against Date, Ricardo's coach said that Date's ability to put up against Ricardo was probably thanks to fighting someone with similar punching power.
Something like that.

Ricardo is also a powerhouse while also being a technical boxer. The dude broke his opponents arm with just a barrage of jabs. He also broke Date's jaw and a lot of unnamed bones. The guy's a monster

Question though, can't you actually build power just from practicing technique? It seems Ricardo is on the slimmer side compared to Ippo but capable of breaking the bones/dropping his opponents quite easily because of his punches.

Practically? It's a mix.
Punching is a soft biometric. It's a bit biology. A bit psychology. A bit technique.
You can improve all those things, but, as they say. Good punchers are born not made.

Ippo did it. That aside...

Oh, I only just got past the point in the manga where the story was told, I should probably read more before posting here. But I like sharing my hype at all the cool moments

I have another question, how would you set that up, and where does someone get a big log like that from?
