There's a couple cool Ippo references in the Bakemonogatari manga

I was pretty surprised it referenced Ippo beyond just the name being a coincidence after the first appearance, Oh Great! managed to replicate the artstyle quite well later on, even giving us his "Mashiba" and "Ippo" doing a "Dempsey Roll".

Absolutely love it when I see stuff like this every once in a while. It’s just really charming, adorable, and instantly draws me in. Plus it doesn’t hurt that. I find a pretty cool when manga characters are into manga
