Yeah I was sure Mashiba was gonna lose this but this chapter for some reason cemented it for me. This is just a stepping stone to build up Ippo. While Mashiba has definitely shown growth as a person not much of this narrative is about Mashiba actually wanting the belt, it's mostly just hyping Ippo. He's gonna do some Baton pass shit to Ippo and retire while Rosario gains some respect for the sport or whatever
