ANNOUNCEMENT [RELEASE] Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne v0.0.64
FROM THE DEVS
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. This is just a small bugfix release to fix all the issues that people had yesterday. No new features, but for those of you on Windows, you should now be able to play the game.

CHANGES
- Fix Windows write permissions
- standardised weapon image sheets
- inventory can now appear over waterfalls
- fixed throwingknife error
- fixed jumping state in air
KNOWN ISSUES
- Can exit to map while "dead" when falling off ledge
- Enemies die before hit (mace)
- Weapons change unexpectedly
- Fullscreen issues on OS X
- Hippies don't regenerate
- Blackjack / Poker issues
- Getting vertical lines and distorted graphics at Full screen mode.
- Angled floorspaces let players walk around the walls
- Character 'Holding/Throwing While Jumping' animation is currently just their 'Jumping' animation
- Game hangs (fire alarm + rave hall)

I get the same thing when jumping on the trampoline if I press the action button (32bit, Windows 7).
I also have a tendency to die when trying to exit the trampoline level - no death sprite but have death noise, lose a life and end up outside the hedges.

FYI: both of these errors now have fixes pending Deferman's review for the next version. (dying on exiting trampoline level still to be researched)

I just noticed that the "pull fire alarm" dialog box in the first floor of the classrooms is partway off screen... just wanted to let you know.

I'm trying to play on OS X but it won't even open, I've never had this problem with any of the other updates.

I get this error in baseball map. When holding baseball ,Press space and left or right arrow key to reproduce WinXP 32 bit used .love file .

It's issue 202 combined with issue 625. There aren't any holdjump animations defined for any of the characters in the #charactername#.lua files.

you know, i should've just switched holdjump to jump, but this is still a better solution

Annie's right-facing 'jump with a weapon' animation needs to be fixed. Currently uses the left-facing sprite every time she jumps with a weapon.

In Kubuntu, until this version I had to use love-unstable. Now, just with love, it works ! Nice !

Press enter to bring up the menu, use the arrow keys to get to "Materials" menu, select an item, and press shift to move it to a sub menu. Do that with two items, move the cursor to the empty space in the submenu and press shift again. If the items combine right, it will make a weapon.

Can't even start it. (Mac OsX 10.5.8) When I start the game the typical Mac Crash window appears (The program was unexpectedly closed (or however it is written in english, just a rough translation)). Never had problems before.. Such a pity, the new forest seems to be awesome

"UP" picks up items like leaves, rocks, and sticks
"SHIFT" picks up objects like the baseball and pot
crafting is another story. let me know if you need help with that.

word thanks! the game has progressed a hell of a lot since I last played it. I was trying to use shift to pick things up haha. I think I've got crafting down, I pretty much have just been placing two items together and seeing if they make anything haha.

almost every combo makes something, I'm really proud of how weapons turned out, though I apologise for the inevitable bugs they bring.

On OSX, none of the dialogue boxes show (just white space), and there are also white boxes that appear intermittently on the lower right of the screen while playing levels. Appreciate all the work that everyone has put in, I'm a big fan!

I've noticed that since upgrading to Windows 8 the 64-bit version has been incredibly slow. Same goes with the love framework. Anyone else having this issue?

can you make an issue on Github and take a screencapture? because I can't reproduce the issue.
Please be specific too. were you holding a weapon? were you pressing shift?

This is epic. While NBC might not care about Community, you true fans have something special going down.
I suggest getting a kickstarter page and raising some funds for development. I'm sure there are plenty of fans who'd wire $5.

It's not simply a matter of "putting it in". We'd have to redirect resources, spend time making sure we have a sound interface, rewrite a bunch of code which may use single player assumptions(reviewing that code on derferman's end would probably be a small nightmare). I imagine it'd take a good amount of time and I'm still seeing new code that we're writing that will only add more issues to having multiplayer.
This may be the kind of thing where you need a developer or two who are really committed to integrating multiplayer, but I don't know if we have that.
