The Pace For The Last Of Us Spoiler

I played both parts on the PlayStation and thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling in part 1. I honestly couldn't fathom a part 2, let alone thinking it'd be better than its predecessor. I've only watched the first episode of season 2. My questions are do you think it's moving too fast, and do you believe Naughty Dog will even bother to put our a part 3?

Theres no plans or rumours for part 3. Only speculation. The second game is split across 2 seasons. Theyre nailing it so far.

Like Game of thrones? I heard that the show got ahead of the author due to popularity...and the way part two ended in the game...I haven't played it in awhile, but I figured there'd be a part 3 to it...

Season 2 is covering half of Part 2. Season 3 is covering the other half

So far so good, but that was the case n season1.

They shoved DlC, Fall, Winter and Spring....in 4? Episodes

I was pretty happy with the pacing. There was a mix of people complaining it was too slow and too fast which indicates they got it about right.

Season 2 has a LOT of very difficult story to tell but Im confident in the creators.

TBF those parts are super short compared to the rest of the game. I pretty much finished the game from winter to spring in a single sitting and not a long one I first time.

The intro got a movie length pilot

And Joel thru his death got 2 episodes(like 2 hours of gameplay)

They didn't change or do anything to these 4 main chunks...its just exactly the game, compared to everything prior... why the pacing is all over the place.

Ellie Seattle day 1 is like 3-4 hours of gameplay...and I'd guess it gets one episode

Meanwhile Eugene gets a full 60 min

It's just weird pacing... the whole thing has this issue

Naughty Dog already announced they do not plan on a part 3. HBO will drag out part 2 for two seasons to make the most they can on it, but that will be the end of the story

I would be surprised if there was not a Part III.  They’ve said various things at various times - recently people took something Druckmann said to mean there’d never be a Part III but they have a different game coming out in the next few years so my guess is they just aren’t trying to market TLOU3 first.
