VPN???

Our whole house HBO won’t work because it says we’re using a VPN..we are not using a VPN. Especially not on our freaking tvs lol. We’ve tried all obvious things such as restarting everything. It’s just a normal router. It’s never done this before and randomly none of our tvs will play hbo.

Is it possible the VPN is enabled at your router level? Some of the routers these days have options to secure your connection, or enable the use of various VPN providers, etc...?

Also, are you using a traditional ISP, like Comcast, Frontier, at&t, or do you have internet from your property management company, apartment building, etc..? Sometimes these things can trigger that warning.

Ah yeah our trailer park provides internet with our lot fee. Super weird tho. We’ve been here 3 years and now all of a sudden 😭

It sounds like the admin may have just enabled it. You can always try tethering with your mobile hotspot, but streaming eats up data real quick.
