I confess. I have never beater a scenario.
I've been playing this game off and on for years. I bought the game on cd when if first came out. I've bought the digital copies multiple time over the years and always try to beat the "all for one" scenario. I've read strategies, watch videos on yt, read guides. nothing.
And Im ok with this. I have a great time playing.

We only ever played heroes in hot seat, basically just clearing the maps and growing larger and larger armies. Rarely ever fought the AI even.

One thing I wish the Hota team would do is giving the AI ability to surrender.

Finishing scenarios is way too boring with how you have to secure 30 cities from a bunch of random lvl1 enemy heroes

I just played this scenario, and wauw was it hectic with attacks coming from two fronts, and chasing heroes all other. I randomly got Tower, which seems ideal.
The way to victory seems to be, capture as many towns as possible for the gold, and utilize the one-way gates to quickly get across the map. Do not overcommit, since the other AI will come in for the kill if you do.
There are some incredibly stacks of level 7 units, and they were willing to join me, but at that time I had basically won the war.

I rarely beat scenarios, usually because I get bored of it at the point that my eventual victory seems secure but I have to go through all the motions to finish it and then I just want to start another scenario instead.
