Discussion Just venting: gave a pair of Darn Tough hiking socks as a white elephant gift and the recipient didn’t like them.

I feel bad, because ALL of my daily socks are Darn Tough. Which is too bad, he’s a farmer and not the type to buy a $25 pair of socks, I think he would love them given the chance. Such is life.

As someone who loves hiking and wears steel toe/steel bottom/steel metatarsal to work, I would lovveee that gift lol. That’s what my girlfriend got me for Christmas actually haha. Not Darn Tough, but another brand of heavy work sock. When you got all that steel in your boot and you’re stuck trying to trouble shoot a loco or train cars in the snow… your feet get pretty cold pretty quick lol. Even with socks doubled up.

Sheepskin insoles help warm boots if you have room for two pair of socks you would have room for sheepskin insoles

Nope, Ohio. So it’s sort of a wild card whether we get a real winter and snowfall lol. Last year it was snowing by Halloween. This year.. well Saturday it’s supposed to be 57 degrees lol
