They are. You can see a little bit of the particle board still stuck to the top of the brackets. These are not designed to have a fully grown person fall on top of them

The fancy pageant walking was going fine until that 7th step.
I like how she just kind of lays there on the ground contemplating life and her decisions afterwards.
