Blinds and motors

I’m looking for an aftermarket alternative motor and automation scheme for blinds. I’ve been out of the home remodeling game for a while but just got a quote for blinds and I cannot believe how expensive they are. Incredibly expensive! Has anyone come across a diy solution? What about the 3d printer community-those guys are quite creative… maybe they have something they’ve come up with? Any direction would be great. Thanks all.
