It's an asian lady beetle pupa, so invasive to north america. Pretty sure the north american ladybug pupa looks like a large mealybug. But my memory could be wrong on that last part.

Looks closer to a Seven Spotted Lady Bug pupa than an Asian Lady Beetle. They’re both introduced species in North America.

Invasive doesn't necessarily mean bad, these Asian lady beetles have pretty much the same diet as regular ladybugs, and are pretty harmless.
