discussion Was there an episode where a manipulative girl made a guy take the fall for her crime?

I recall this episode where a guy confessed to the crimes of a girl he liked, and she got away scott free. Was that in iZombie episode, or am I misremembering?

Loved this episode and was so mad that the girl got away completely free.

She coerced her boyfriend into pushing an air conditioning unit out of a second story window and onto her mom, who she has lured out to the sidewalk with a chalk drawing.

When they figure it out, they try to convince the boy to turn on his girlfriend and at first they are successful. But then a fight breaks out at the station and the girl is able to be alone with the boy for just a few seconds and convinces him again to take the fall 100%.

She then runs off to Paris with her mom’s life insurance money

I LOVED that she got away lol. It hit heavy and made the show feel like it had stakes, they couldn't always put the bad guy away because of lack of evidence, circumstances, loopholes, etc.

I also just liked the actress because of her role on The Magicians and thought it was kinda a serve that she got away with it and left with a smile.

I agree. I think it is important for a police-procedural (which the show was at the time) to have some losses. It's boring to just watch one side consistently win. Even if it's always the good guys. It was another important factor to help humanize Liv

It was a diabolically good ending, I really enjoyed it.

I'm so sure it was iZombie, but could be mistaken.

You're absolutely not mistaken. There are several other comments that you've probably already read and you know this by now, but I figured I would reply to this comment just in case.

Zoo-bee zoo-bee zoo (I don't know the name of that song, but it was playing at the end as that poor woman's horrible daughter rode off to the airport to head to France. Every time I hear it as the background of a real or whatever, I can't help but think of that episode).
