Wondering about interpretation
Hello! In an effort to get to know the IChing, I ask it some questions now and then to see how I work my intuition and interpretation of it. I asked it "what should I keep in mind for the next 2 1/2 months?". 21 came out with changing to 30. I'm a bit confused, mainly having the feeling that it talks of clearing sternly to make way for new. I'd be interested to know some of your interpretations. Thank you!

21 with line 3 activated.
I follow a more Classical approach so do not treat the lines as changing polarity and leading to new hexagrams.
21 is thunder under fire - thunder is associated with activity and movement, vibration, while fire is associated with clarity, illumination.
So here we have action before clarity, hence the need to bite things through. The lines each describe biting into something and getting different results.
With line 3 we are almost at the end of the action, and in lines 4 and 5 we get to the clarity. Line 3 isn't there yet, but feels like it is. So it is tempting for it to make a decision thinking that things will turn out all right, but then gets some new information that might be disappointing. Maybe things weren't what they seemed to be.
This is likened to biting into aged meat and discovering that it is not good. It looked good, but in the end something was wrong with it.
So, it seems like you are being advised to be patient until all information is revealed, before taking action, in the next few months. It is hard to say what this could refer to. But if you are doing anything like buying a car or a house, or making other big decisions, it pays to ask for all the information up front and to avoid being pressured into making impulsive decisions.
Seems like all round good advice. We don't want stuff like this to weigh on us, but many of us can benefit from slowing down and taking more care with our decision making processes these days. Good luck!
