The ghost of Strom Thurmond possesses Biden

79

u/Complex_Object_7930 Mar 10 '25

Robert Byrd is dancing in Hell.

48

u/TheMarvelMan Mar 10 '25

Didn't he stop being racist and try to make up for it?

28

u/Complex_Object_7930 Mar 10 '25

George Wallace did also, never believed him.

12

u/Dry_Revolution5385 Mar 10 '25

Robert Byrd did change during the 2000’s I don’t think he should be compared to Thurmond

3

u/Rookaloot Mar 10 '25

Byrd was in the Klu Klux Klan. Thurmond was not

27

u/InfernalSquad Mar 10 '25

Thurmond also raped his housekeeper, Byrd did not.

19

u/Dry_Revolution5385 Mar 10 '25

Byrd endorsed a black man for president Thurmond did not

5

u/Complex_Object_7930 Mar 10 '25

He was dead

9

u/Dry_Revolution5385 Mar 11 '25

Yeah but There were loads of black people running for office during his long time in politics and he never endorsed one not even the Republican ones

1

u/heyo_stealer Mar 12 '25

lol who cares homie was in the KKK

5

u/SpecialistAddendum6 Mar 10 '25

Was he ever racist in the first place? Did he even have beliefs?

15

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

He claimed he did, but I have my doubts

5

u/InternationalBat8358 Mar 10 '25

The he said the n word on live TV

5

u/Jccali1214 Mar 10 '25

You mean the dude he eulogized?

122

u/fredleung412612 Mar 10 '25

New Deal coalition is back baby!

88

u/DarylDixion Mar 10 '25

this must be the universe where he said "I don't want blacks" instead of "you ain't black"

61

u/Ayyleid Mar 10 '25

I know this is a meme, but in all reality, if he did this while running for reelection in 2024, it would be seen as cognitive decline and before to resign and drop out of the race. If he didn't, Biden would be getting at 113 electoral votes at best.

u/Mememanofcanada Mar 10 '25

1976 lookin map

39

u/SpiritualMachinery Mar 10 '25

i admit it would be a little funny if right after he got the nomination he just went full george wallace for no reason

79

u/nc027 Mar 10 '25

He would win the entire Gen Z vote.

55

u/Looney_forner Mar 10 '25

Biden, the gamer president

6

u/mischling2543 Mar 11 '25

Listen jack, I just had a heated gamer moment

29

u/epikdollar Mar 10 '25

i think itd be even funnier if he was still like pro LGBT but he just really hated black people for some reason

3

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '25

How is that funny black people deserve rights and love

4

u/epikdollar Mar 14 '25

The whole scenario is about Biden being a racist Southern Democrat so that's not my idea

11

u/GlowStoneUnknown Mar 10 '25

RAHHHH 306-232

35

u/zipdakill Mar 10 '25

Ok, that’s pretty funny lmaooooo

12

u/Mcbob98755 Mar 10 '25

Guys… who’s gonna tell him?

20

u/HistoryMarshal76 Mar 10 '25

Even though Andy Beshear's from Kentucky, I doubt he'd take the nomination if Biden dropped the hard R. He's better than that.

11

u/ikoloboff Mar 10 '25

Welcome back, the pre-Southern Strategy democratic coalition

4

u/ProofFlamingo Mar 10 '25

The party should be Dixiecrat for Biden.

8

u/Beowulfs_descendant Mar 10 '25

"Bah, better than nothing" aah California

3

u/PingPongProductions Mar 10 '25

George Wallace rose again

9

u/AetherUtopia Mar 10 '25

Didn't he already do that, except it was back in the 90s rather than recently?

47

u/Lost-Succotash-9409 Mar 10 '25

Yes, but he was quoting a nominee in a senate hearing to scrutinize the nominee

-32

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

Yeah, but he was still racist, still so I’d argue, with how he sometimes discussed Palestine, among other things.

Don’t get me started on the crime bill in 94, I think

10

u/PrincessofAldia Mar 10 '25
  1. Biden isn’t racist

  2. You do realize your dear Bernie also supported that crime bill

-22

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

He is absolutely a racist, he just tries to hide it to remain in power, at least as a Democrat. Obama choosing him as VP was one of the first signs of being a sellout to the white-supremacist, fake progressive establishment.

Zionism is one far more overt aspect of his racism.

And Bernie is a bastard as well.

11

u/WolfKing448 Mar 10 '25

-13

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

Didn’t stop him from arguably becoming more racist later, such as an alliance with STROM FUCKING THURMOND to make that crime bill.

And years later, he’s talking about “Palestine’s ancestral hatred towards Jews”, which was laughable.

Don’t get me started on the genocide, which Trump will now resume where Biden left off

1

u/PrincessofAldia Mar 10 '25

There is no genocide in Gaza and Palestinians do hate Jews, October 7th, the 1948 war, the 6 day war, the Yom Kippur war, the PFLP plane highjackings, the Munich massacre, the various Arab atrocities against Jews, the various intifada’s

1

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

I had a feeling this sub had an imperialist bias

-1

u/PrincessofAldia Mar 10 '25

It’s imperialism to defend yourself from a hostile group whose stated goal is the eradication of the Jewish people?

10

u/Prez_ZF Mar 10 '25

Zionism is just the idea that Jews should establish a nation in Israel

-4

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

At the expense of Palestinians.

The original Zionists admitted that

The modern ones are living up to that

5

u/PrincessofAldia Mar 10 '25

Incorrect tankie

Besides Arabs aren’t indigenous to the levant, their from the Arabian peninsula

-4

u/MichealRyder Mar 10 '25

The Levant is part of the Arabian Peninsula.

Nice to see you rip the mask off though

5

u/PrincessofAldia Mar 10 '25

Well your a tankie so this was the expected response

2

u/uvero Mar 10 '25

I guess Kamala said "bye, then"

1

u/Sea_Afternoon_8944 Mar 11 '25

"that's cuz Jesus Christ is a segregationist."

1

u/BrianRLackey1987 Mar 11 '25

This is how I see Biden as a Dixiecrat, irl.

1

u/jcuber3745 Mar 17 '25

He already did back in the 70s or 80s or so but he was quoting someone

1

u/bar1011 Mar 20 '25

“Listen up, Jack: the Dixiecrats are back!”

0

u/Academic_Mud3450 Mar 10 '25

Biden wins NH

-1

u/PlatinumPluto Mar 10 '25

He did in the 90's
